ABERDEEN v HAMILTON

Football – Scotland – Premiership Betting Tips

Sunday lunchtime’s fixture in the Scottish Premiership provides us with hosts Aberdeen looking to secure a fourth consecutive home win over today’s visitors Hamilton Academicals at Pittodrie as The Dons look to stay close to league leaders Celtic.

Aberdeen have had the wood over Hamilton in their last three encounters on home turf with The Dons winning 1-0, 3-0 and 1-0 respectively, along with a 3-0 win away towards the latter part of last season too.

Aberdeen also possess a strong home record at Pittodrie this season as their record of  10-4-1  23/13 shows, and they’re unbeaten in their last ten on home turf which includes two wins over Celtic, so they will be in confident mood for this lunchtime clash with Hamilton.

Hamilton on the other hand find themselves firmly ensconced in the relegation round positions of the Scottish Premiership as they sit third from bottom in the division overall, along with an away record of  5-3-7  15/29.

Despite two recent away wins at Kilmarnock and Inverness Caledonian (who are also in the nether regions of the Premiership), Hamilton will face a tough challenge of keeping Aberdeen quiet at Pittodrie, and in particular, striker Adam Rooney who has notched a total of 19 goals to date in the Scottish top flight.

In addition, Hamilton possess a poor record away at top half opposition with stats of  0-3-4  6/19 on their travels, and I can’t see this match being any different.
