BORDEAUX v METZ – Pick: 1 – 25 April 2015

Bordeaux to bounce back

International Football Tips

Football – France – Ligue 1

Saturday 25th April 2015 – Kickoff: 2000hrs

Bordeaux will be aiming to take all three points in tonight’s clash against struggling Metz as they look to step up their bid for a european spot next season.

Bordeaux will also be keen to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat away at Lille last weekend which has threatened to make an impact upon them overhauling fourth placed Marseille, but they still remain just three points adrift going into this weekend’s round of fixtures.

The hosts also possess a very useful home record though which stands at  10-4-2  26/20 and they’ve won four of their last six on home turf with wins over St Etienne, PSG, Lens and Marseille which have been impressive to say the least.

Visitors Metz go into tonight’s clash following back-to-back wins against Toulouse and Lens as they look to avoid the drop down to Ligue 2. However, both of these wins came at home and they still remain a considerable eight points behind Evian TG who currently have 37 points to their name.

In addition, Metz’s away form has been dreadful as they’ve failed to win in their last twelve matches on their travels, as well as failing to score 13 times in their 16 away matches overall. Their record stands at a poor  1-4-11  3/23 and it’s no surprise they’re the lowest goalscorers away from home in Ligue 1.

This should therefore be a pretty comfortable home win here for Bordeaux who must take all three points to stay in the running for a chance of a european place – a solid 2-0 win for the hosts.
