BRADFORD v COLCHESTER – Pick: 1 – 31 January 2015

Bradford look to return to play-off pack

League One/Two Tips

Football – England – League One

Saturday 31st January 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Following recent back-to-back defeats, Bradford City will be looking to bounce back against relegation-threatened Colchester United at Valley Parade this afternoon.

These recent defeats to Rochdale and Yeovil Town have resulted in Bradford dropping out of the play-off pack for the time being, but a win today could see them jump right back into the mix. Prior to the losses, Bradford had out together a useful run of seven matches without defeat which included five wins over the likes of Preston North End, Leyton Orient, Chesterfield, Fleetwood Town and Notts County.

It’s interesting to note that four of those aforementioned teams are currently in the top half of League One, so I reckon Bradford have a good chance of getting the points here this afternoon.

Onto visitors Colchester United and they are currently fourth from bottom in League One but are just two points adrift of Crewe Alexandra who host MK Dons on Saturday. Colchester have retuned some mixed results in the past few weeks as they’ve beaten Peterborough United and Leyton Orient, but have also lost to Gillingham and Walsall (both at home).

Away from home, they’ve won two of their last three with wins at Yeovil and Peterborough along with a draw at Crawley Town, while their overall record stands at  4-4-5  17/20. But where the opportunity lies to go against them is their form away at top half opposition as they’ve lost four of their five matches against teams similar to Bradford City.

With this in mind, I’ll back the hosts to bounce back here against the visitors who have tended to struggle against the better teams in the division. Could be a 2-1 win for The Bantams.

Pick: Bradford City straight win @ 1.87 Bet Victor
