Braintree to edge the points in crucial clash against Bromley

National League Tips

BRAINTREE TOWN v BROMLEY

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Braintree Town will be looking to build upon their excellent 1-0 home win over Cheltenham Town last weekend as they once again hold home advantage in Good Friday’s clash with Bromley at the Amlin Stadium with another precious three points at stake.

Braintree head into the Easter weekend having put together a very useful seven-match unbeaten run which includes five clean sheets as Danny Cowley’s men look to hold onto their play-off position in the National League.

With Tranmere Rovers, Wrexham, Eastleigh and Gateshead all within striking distance of the play-off pack, Braintree will no doubt be keen to take advantage of their home turf this afternoon where they’ve posted an overall record of  11-5-4  19/11 so far this season.

Visitors Bromley sit in 11th spot and are 10 points adrift of today’s opponents Braintree but they’ve lost just once in their last eight matches overall, so they’ll probably fancy their chances of getting something at Braintree this afternoon.

Recent wins against Woking, Kidderminster, Welling United, Halifax and Guiseley have maintained their interest for a long-shot of reaching the play-offs, but it should be noted that four of these five recent victories were recorded at their Courage Stadium ground.

Away from home, Bromley hold a more modest record of  6-4-10  28/42 and they hold the worst defensive record away from home in the National League, as they’ve kept just two clean sheets on their travels all season to date.

This therefore should be a home win for Braintree Town, but I’ll err on the side of caution and give the quarter-ball on the hosts.
