Brighton maintained their unbeaten start to the new season on Friday night when they registered a resounding 3-0 home win over Nottingham Forest at their AMEX Stadium, and the Seagulls are once again on home turf for Tuesday night’s clash against Rotherham United.

Following their opening day of the season point away at Derby County in a 0-0 stalemate, Brighton have since recorded back-to-back home wins over Colchester United 4-0 (in the League Cup) and the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

The hosts will therefore be keen to make it three wins on the trot on home soil where they’ve lost just once in their last 14 matches in all competitions; striker Glenn Murray bagged a brace against Forest and Hemed is also one to watch out for.

Visitors Rotherham United have experienced results at the other end of the scale so far this season as they’ve now gone three matches without a win in these early stages of the new season. A 2-2 draw at home with Wolves on the opening day was probably considered a good result, but consequent defeats to Morecambe (in the League Cup) and a 3-0 loss away at Aston Villa won’t have done their confidence any favours.

The alarm bells may be starting to ring for new manager Alan Stubbs (a former Celtic and Everton defender), whose side have shipped 9 goals in their first three matches of the season.  It also seems a very curious decision from Stubbs to join Rotherham United after he guided Hibernian to Scottish Cup winners at the end of last season.

Despite avoiding relegation with three games remaining at the end of last season, it could be another long season for Millers fans this term.
