Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Even though Brighton have gone five matches without a win in the Championship, they are still amongst the play-off places in the English second tier as they sit in fourth place just four points adrift of second placed Derby County.

Brighton also still possess a strong home record at their Amex Stadium with overall stats of  8-2-2  15/11 despite recent back-to-back defeats to Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town, but having accounted for the likes of Hull City and Birmingham City, The Seagulls could just about shade the three points this afternoon.

Brighton’s attacking personnel include Baldock, Zamora and Hemed who are more than capable of causing plenty of problems in the final third against Wolves this afternoon.

Visitors Wolves have recently registered back-to-back wins over Reading and Charlton Athletic which has lifted them back into the top half of the Championship, but prior to those wins they suffered defeats to Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday.

Historically, Wolves have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the division and this season has been no exception as they sit in mid-table following their inability to string together any sort of winning run.

Wolves’ away record stands at  5-2-5  18/18 and their last five matches have reflected their frustrating season so far as they’ve recorded wins at Rotherham United and Charlton, but lost at Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday along with a draw against Ipswich Town.

Brighton seem to have the edge with home advantage here, but I recommend backing them with the draw no bet option.
