Bristol Rovers’ push for a play-off place received a dent last weekend when they were dealt a 3-0 defeat away at struggling Bury which ended Rovers’ nine-match unbeaten streak, but they’ll be looking to bounce back against second from bottom Chesterfield at the Memorial Stadium this afternoon.
Bristol Rovers occupy 8th place in League One ahead of the visit from lowly Chesterfield, and with a good home record of 10-6-3 34/21 to their names so far this season, they’ll be looking to take all three points in this encounter to put them within touching distance of the top six.

Visitors Chesterfield have had to endure a tough and disappointing campaign in League One this term as they sit second from bottom in the English third tier and a massive 10 points adrift of safety and Oldham Athletic ahead of this weekend’s round of matches.
The Spireites have managed to gain just one league win from their last 11 outings which was a 1-0 win away at fellow relegation rivals Swindon Town, while their previous win to that (a 1-0 home win over Coventry City), was way back in mid-January.
Chesterfield’s away record reads a very sorry looking 2-4-13 13/31 and they’ve tended to struggle away from home against teams in the top half of the division as indicated by their record in such circumstances which stands at a poor 1-2-6 8/16.
