Next up is a look at a match being played in the National League following various postponements due to the terrible weather lately in England, as I look at a clash between mid-table Bromley and play-off candidates Grimsby Town at the Courage Stadium.
Bromley are unbeaten in their last three matches having held Eastleigh and Southport to 2-2 and 0-0 draws respectively, along with a 3-2 win away at Dover, and they return to their home ground tonight to welcome Grimsby Town.
Bromley’s home record stands at 6-3-4 25/15 but despite a great start to the season where they won six of their first eight league matches, they’ve since slumped in form as they’ve gone five matches without a win on home turf which includes defeats to Cheltenham Town, Boreham Wood and Altrincham.
Visitors Grimsby Town are in a purple-patch of form right now as they’ve put together seven wins from their last eight overall in the non-league top flight, a run which has lifted The Mariners up into third place, but being eight points adrift of league leaders Cheltenham Town, Grimsby will be desperate to post another three points this evening to close the gap.
Grimsby have also shown some solid performances on the road too in recent weeks as they’ve won their last three on the trot on their travels with wins at Barrow, Eastleigh and Welling United, scoring 8 goals and conceding just 1 in reply.
Grimsby Town also boast the league’s highest goalscorer in Padraig Amond (20 goals) and he’s well supported by Bogle (10 goals) up front.
