BURNLEY v BRISTOL CITY

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Burnley have had to endure a tough run of matches in recent weeks in the Championship as they’ve had to travel three times in their past four league matches which has resulted in two defeat and a draw on the road.

Boxing Day saw The Clarets lose 3-0 away at promotion hopefuls Hull City at the KC Stadium, so no doubt Sean Dyche’s men will be eager to return to Turf Moor for this afternoon’s clash against lowly Bristol City.

Burnley’s overall home record though still remains a good one which stands at  7-2-2  21/11 where they’ve lost just once in their last six on home turf but recent wins over Huddersfield, Fulham and Charlton show they can be ruthless against bottom half opposition.

Visitors Bristol City kept their slim hopes of Championship survival alive on Boxing Day with a 1-1 draw at home against fellow strugglers Charlton Athletic as The Robins have now drawn two Championship matches on the trot following a 1-1 draw at home with QPR.

But Bristol City now face a very difficult and long trip up north to face Burnley on the back of just one away win from their last nine on the road which was a 2-1 win away at Huddersfield Town, and an overall away record of  2-4-5  9/19 tells its own story.

Burnley hold a very solid record at home against bottom half opposition which reads  5-1-1  15/7 and I can’t see Bristol City getting anything at Turf Moor today.
