BURTON ALBION v MILLWALL

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Burton Albion moved up into third spot in League One on the weekend following a resounding 5-1 victory over Colchester United which handed The Brewers a fourth win from their last five matches overall in the English third tier.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side are now just a point behind League One leaders Coventry City with a home match against Millwall in hand this evening – not that it will be a walk in the park for Burton by any means as Millwall are sitting in 7th place right now.

But Burton’s home form has once again been strong at the Pirelli Stadium where they’ve posted a home record of  6-2-1  14/5 so far which includes recent wins over Southend United, Port Vale and the aforementioned Colchester United. Forward El Khayati is the main strike threat up front for the hosts.

Visitors Millwall returned to winning ways on Saturday when they registered a 1-0 home win over Bury at the New Den which followed a 2-1 loss away at Fleetwood Town during the week, with Neil Harris’ side sitting in a handy 7th place in League One as a result.

In fact, Millwall have lost just once in their last eight matches overall, while their away record stands at a reasonable  4-3-2  16/13 which includes a recent away win at Sheffield United along with holding Wigan Athletic and Blackpool to 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.

The Lions also possess some useful attacking personnel in the shape of O’Neill, Gregory and Morison, so they may well cause a few problems of their own tonight.

This match is expected to be a close one, and I reckon both teams could score here in perhaps a 1-1 draw.
