Bury to avoid defeat to Port Vale

League One/Two Tips

BURY v PORT VALE

Saturday 3rd September 2016 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Bury have made an indifferent start to their new League One campaign as they currently sit in a slightly disappointing 14th place in the league ladder, but they have a pretty good chance of improving their fortunes at Gigg Lane on Saturday afternoon against Port Vale.

Bury head into this encounter on the back of four matches without a win as they have managed points on the road away at midlands clubs Coventry City and Walsall in 0-0 and 3-3 draws respectively, but have also lost to Gillingham (away) and Lancashire rivals Oldham Athletic (at home).

But a 2-0 home win over Charlton Athletic on the opening day of the season should still give them confidence of getting something out of this home game against Port Vale who are without an away win so far this term.

Onto Port Vale and although they occupy fourth place in League One ahead of this weekend’s round of matches, all of their success has been registered at their Vale Park ground where they’ve recorded wins over Southend United, Rochdale and Scunthorpe United.

As mentioned, Port Vale are without an away win to date in this new campaign having lost at Swindon Town and taking a point at Bradford City, but their form overall on their travels has been pretty average in recent times.

Vale have managed just two away wins from their last 12 matches on the road, and this could be another factor in deciding this afternoon’s outcome at Gigg Lane. In addition, Port Vale lost 1-0 last time out at Bury, and it could be another similar scoreline here.

I recommend backing the hosts with the draw no bet option here.
