Football – England – FA Cup Betting Tips

The third round of the FA Cup has almost been completed, and my next pick features an intriguing contest between League Two outfit Cambridge United and Championship high-flyers Leeds United at Abbey Stadium on Monday night.

The hosts, Cambridge United, have made a solid start to their League Two campaign as we sit at the halfway stage of the season, and they currently occupy 9th place just one point behind the play-off pack.

The U’s have also won six of their last seven matches in League Two, so they’ll head into this cup fixture bubbling with confidence having won their last three matches on home turf with wins over Cheltenham Town, Crewe Alexandra and Notts County.

Visitors Leeds United have enjoyed somewhat of a revival under manager Garry Monk as he has led Leeds to a play-off position at the halfway stage of this season, following numerous seasons of disappointment from former managers at Elland Road.

Leeds currently sit in fifth spot in the Championship and their current form has been very impressive indeed as they’ve won four of their last five league matches with wins over Reading, Brentford, Preston North End and Rotherham United along with earning a point in a 1-1 draw away at Aston Villa.

Leeds have also banged a few goals in of late too with strikers Wood (13 goals) and Doukara (4 goals) being the most likely anytime goalscorers for the visitors here tonight.

Leeds in particular, won’t want this match going to a replay with chasing a play-off place in mind, so I’m expecting an open and attacking cup-tie here.
