CAMBRIDGE v EXETER – Pick: 1 – 16 September 2014

U's good for another win over Grecians

League One/Two Tips

Football – England – League Two

Tuesday 16th September 2014 – Kickoff: 1945hrs

Cambridge United scored all three points on the road at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday winning 3-2 and thus extended their unbeaten run to three matches as they jumped into one of the play-off spots.

Two wins from their last three has kick-started Richard Money’s men as they’d earlier posted a handsome 5-0 home win over Carlisle United along with a point away at Newport County in a 1-1 draw. At the Abbey Stadium, Cambridge have won two of their last three with a win over Plymouth Argyle 1-0 but they lost 1-2 to second placed Morecambe.

But home form on their own turf has been very good to The U’s as they’ve suffered just two defeats from their last seventeen matches at the Abbey Stadium.

Manager Money has several attacking options at his disposal and this is evident in their results at home where they’ve failed to score just once in their last fifteen.

Visitors Exeter City have not enjoyed the best of starts to this season’s League Two campaign as they’ve failed to win any of their first seven matches and have just three points to their name thanks to draws with Portsmouth, York City and Oxford United (all 1-1 and all at their St James’ Park).

Meanwhile, away from home The Grecians have really struggled so far this term having suffered three straight defeats at Plymouth Argyle 0-3 and 0-1 losses at Burton Albion and Northampton Town.

Needless to say their away record doesn’t make for happy reading if you’re an Exeter fan which stands at  0-0-3  0/5.

Cambridge have a very good chance then tonight to build on their good away win from Saturday by posting another three points here against a side that have really struggled on their travels. I’ll back The U’s for perhaps a 2-0 win in this one.

Pick: Cambridge United straight win @ 1.81 Pinnacle
