CHELTENHAM v PLYMOUTH – Pick: 2 AH0 – 28 March 2015

Pilgrims look to improve their travels

League One/Two Tips

Football – England – League Two

Saturday 28th March 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Cheltenham Town dropped into the relegation places in League Two last Saturday following a 2-1 defeat at home to Exeter City and this afternoon, they host another west country club, Plymouth Argyle, as they make a bid to climb out of the bottom two.

Cheltenham have not won in their last five matches, and have registered just one league win from their last fourteen overall, which was a 2-0 home win over third from bottom club Tranmere Rovers back in the start of the month.

The Robins’ overall home record stands at  4-8-7  19/24 and that rare success against Tranmere has been their only real highlight in their last twelve matches at Whaddon Road, but be careful of the draw wherever Cheltenham are concerned!

Incidentally, Plymouth Argyle drew their last match 0-0 at home with Newport County last Saturday as they look to step up the gears in the last few weeks in a bid for a play-off berth. But Argyle have also won just once in recent weeks (in their last six matches actually), which was a 2-0 home win over Northampton Town.

Recent defeats at Stevenage and Dagenham & Redbridge have prevented The Pilgrims from breaking into the top seven, but they still remain just one league place and one point adrift of 7th placed Newport County who are still adjusting to life without former manager Justin Edinburgh.

Plymouth’s away record reads a slightly disappointing  5-5-9  15/19 but they have recently recorded away wins at third placed Wycombe Wanderers and west country rivals Exeter City.

Cheltenham may be getting a little nervous and I reckon Plymouth are good for at least a point here – they might even nick it perhaps 2-1 but I recommend taking them with the round ball to help negate the possibility of the draw.

Pick: Plymouth Argyle AH0 @ 1.70 Bet Victor
