Chester will be hoping to put some recent ordinary results behind them on Tuesday night when they take on bottom of the National League Guiseley at their Lookers Vauxhall Stadium by taking all three points which could lift them away from the relegation zone.
Chester are on a three-game run without a win in the non-league top flight having suffered back-to-back defeats to Woking (away) and Forest Green Rovers (at home) but they did hold in-form Aldershot Town to a 0-0 draw on the weekend which should have given them a bit of a confidence boost ahead of tonight’s clash.

Visitors Guiseley have made a wretched start to their new National League campaign as they sit rock-bottom of the division with just two points to their name from a possible 27 on offer so far; and having narrowly avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth at the end of last season, it looks like another long, hard season for them this time around too.
To make matters worse, Guiseley’s two points were both earned in recent back-to-back draws with Braintree and Woking in 0-0 and 1-1 stalemates respectively, while their away form has been simply woeful so far this season.
A record of 0-0-4 5/9 tells its own story after having been delat defeats at Eastleigh, North Ferriby, Solihull Moors and Tranmere Rovers, and they’ve actually lost eight of their last nine on their travels overall.
