CHILE v VENEZUELA

Tuesday 28th March 2017 – Kickoff: 1900hrs

Football – World – CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifier Betting Tips

Staying with the theme of the World Cup qualifiers, the South American section continues on Tuesday night and my first pick features sixth placed Chile taking on bottom team of the group, Venezuela, at their Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos.

Following last week’s 1-0 defeat away at Argentina, Chile know they can ill afford another defeat to South American ‘minnows’ Venezuela if they’re to stand any chance of making the play-off position or the automatic qualification spots, especially with Paraguay now breathing down their necks.

Chile do hold a good solid record on home turf though so far in these World Cup qualifying matches with stats of 4-1-1 12/5 which includes wins over Brazil 2-0, Bolivia, Peru and Uruguay. The likes of Vargas, Sanchez and Vidal should extend Chile’s supremacy over Venezuela whom they’ve beaten in their last four meetings in convincing fashion.

Visitors Venezuela still remain bottom of the South American World Cup qualifying table following a very disappointing 2-2 with Peru last week at their Estadio Monumental de Maturin, having held what appeared to be a commanding 2-0 lead at half-time.

However, Venezuela let Peru back in the game and they still remain at the foot of the table as a result, and now have to attempt to get something out of Chile as they take a very poor away record of 0-1-5 5/17 with them.

Venezuela have found scoring goals difficult so far on their travels with only Bolivia and Paraguay conceding fewer than them in the group table, while Venezuela have failed to score in their last three away matches on the trot. This has contributed towards six defeats from their last seven away matches.
