COVENTRY v LEYTON O – Pick: Both teams to score – 01 April 2015

Sky Blues and O's to hit the net tonight

League One/Two Tips

Football – England – League One

Wednesday 1st April 2015 – Kickoff: 1945hrs

Coventry City continued their impressive form on the road on Saturday when they beat Peterborough United 1-0 at London Road to hand the Sky Blues a third consecutive away win.

Wins at Chesterfield, Fleetwood Town and Peterborough have been impressive in their own right but they’ve also been against top half opposition which should give them a massive boost ahead of tonight’s clash with relegation-threatened Leyton Orient.

Former Celtic and Middlesbrough boss, Tony Mowbray, took over the reigns at the City of Coventry Stadium and has achieved three wins and a draw in the seven matches in charge so far, but he’ll certainly be looking for improvements on home turf from his new club following a disappointing run of just one win from their last eleven on home turf.

Coventry’s home record stands at  5-8-6  22/28 but they’ve been involved in matches with both teams scoring in their last six home matches on the trot.

Leyton Orient kept alive their ambitions of avoiding relegation on Saturday when they beat Port Vale 3-1 at the Matchroom Stadium and they are now within just one point of Notts County and safety in their bid to avoid the drop.

The O’s will also take heart from Coventry’s seeming inability to win at home, but they themselves have lost their last two on the trot on their travels with defeats at Peterborough and Crawley Town. They’d previously put together back-to-back wins at Chesterfield and Walsall, so they’re very capable of causing the hosts some problems tonight.

Leyton Orient’s away record stands at  6-5-7  24/25 and both teams have scored in 9 of their 18 away matches to date.

As neither side can be trusted in their respective home or away form currently, I’ll back that both teams find the net here tonight in a match that could end in a 1-1 draw.
