Derby County will have reason to be confident ahead of their clash with struggling Rotherham United at the iPro Stadium as the home side have collected back-to-back wins recently against Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves as they now seem to have clicked with manager Steve McClaren.
Derby County have now won four of their last seven matches overall, suffering just one defeat during this sequence which was a 1-0 loss at Huddersfield Town, but The Rams home form finally seems to be coming good after a slow start to the campaign.
Wins over Leeds United and the aforementioned Sheffield Wednesday along with a 0-0 draw with Brentford sandwiched in-between means that Derby are unbeaten in their last three on home turf ahead of the visit from poor Rotherham United.
Onto the visitors then, and they now seem to be finally realising their fate in the Championship as they sit rock bottom in the division with just 7 points to their name after the first 16 league matches of the season.
This time though, there’s no Neil Warnock to bail them out as he did towards the end of last season as he guided them to safety from almost certain relegation, but The Millers have lost eight of their last nine matches overall and are seemingly now in free-fall mode down to League One.
A recent 2-2 draw at Ipswich Town ended a miserable run of eight defeats away from home, but with a record of 0-1-7 8/25 under their belts on their travels, it looks very likely that they’ll struggle to contain a revived Derby County here.
