Derby and Wolves heading for stalemate

Championship Tips

DERBY COUNTY v WOLVES

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Former Derby County manager Steve McClaren may well be wishing he’d stayed put at the iPro Stadium in charge of The Rams as they’ve now put together four wins from their last five matches in the Championship and now sit in 7th place in the English second tier following a slow start to the season.

Paul Clement has since taken over the reigns at Derby and after a sluggish start to the campaign where they drew their first four matches and lost their fifth, a few recent wins have improved their prospects in remarkable fashion and just the one defeat in ten matches has them well placed to make another play-off challenge this term.

Derby’s home form reads  1-3-1  5/4 following draws with Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough and Burnley but they did claim all three points last time out at the iPro Stadium with a 2-0 win over Brentford.

Visitors Wolves continue to flatter to deceive as they currently sit in 11th spot in the Championship although they’ve won their last two matches on the bounce with a 3-0 win away at Fulham and a 3-0 home win over Huddersfield Town.

Wolves are now unbeaten in their last four with two earlier draws against league leaders Brighton at home and a 1-1 draw away at Preston North End, but you can never be entirely sure what you’re going to get from Kenny Jackett’s side as they can blow hot and cold in equal measures.

Wolves’ away record stands at  2-1-2  7/6 and is the perfect illustration of inconsistency, although they’re unbeaten in their last two road trips.

Derby have still some way to convince me they are now settled on home turf while Wolves are capable of stealing a point at the iPro Stadium today – this could end up a 1-1 draw.
