Djurgaarden extended their unbeaten run to twelve matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan last Monday night when they took all three points in a hard-earned 1-0 win away at Helsingborg which maintained their fourth place in the division.
Djurgaarden find themselves just five points adrift of league leaders IFK Gothenburg but with the leaders playing third placed Norrkoping this weekend, this may well open a slight opportunity for Djurgaarden to make up some ground.
Djurgaarden’s overall home record stands at 4-2-1 15/7 and they’ve won four of their last six with wins over Kalmar, Falkenberg, Gefle and Orebro along with draws against AIK Stockholm and Norrkoping in 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.
Striker Mushekwi (11 goals) and midfielder Berntsen (5 goals) are the likely anytime goalscorer for the hosts this evening.
Onto Atvidaberg, and they have had a disastrous season in the Swedish top flight thus far as they sit rock-bottom of the division with just seven points to their name going into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
Incidentally, all seven of Atvidaberg’s points have come at home where they hold a record of 1-4-3 11/12, but they’ve gone a total of eleven matches without a win in the Allsvenskan and they look like they’ll have their work cut out here tonight if they’re to get anything from this encounter.
Atvidaberg’s away record reads a woeful 0-0-7 4/15 and they’ve conceded 2 goals or more on six occasions from their seven away matches to date, along with failing to score in three matches.
All up, this looks like an easy win for the hosts Djurgaarden but I’ll also throw in an over 2.5 goals as well as I reckon the hosts may well take this perhaps 2-1 or 3-0.
