DINAMO TBILISI v AKTOBE – Pick: 1 – 16 July 2014

Dinamo look for first leg lead

Champions League Tips

Football – Champions League – 2nd Qualifying Round 1st Leg

Wednesday 16th July 2014 – Kickoff: 1900hrs

The Champions League qualifiers continue rolling on during the European summer months and this second round Qualifier features two teams topping their respective domestic divisions; hosts Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia Umaglesi Liga) taking on Aktobe (Kazakhstan Premier League) with Dinamo having home advantage in the first leg.

The Georgian top flight season has actually ended with Dinamo Tbilisi topping the Championship group phase with an overall home record of  3-1-1  6/1 with wins over Guria 3-0, Zestafoni 1-0 and Metalurgi Rustavi 2-0 along with a point against Chikura.

Dinamo Tbilisi made it through to the third round qualifying round in last season’s Champions League qualifying rounds but they eventually fell 1-3 to Steaua Bucharest.

Dinamo’s leading goalscorers were Xisco Munoz (7 goals) and Martsvaladze (6 goals) and these could be anytime goalscorers tonight – incidentally, Munoz has scored first on 5 occasions.

Visitors Aktobe currently lead the Kazakhstan Premier League as they head towards their Championship round, but they’ll be wary of Dinamo Tbilisi tonight particularly given their own problems on the road of late.

Aktobe have failed to win their last three away matches in the Premier League with defeats at Zhetysu 0-1 and a horrific 1-7 loss at Kairat with a 2-2 draw at Kaisar in between times. Their overall away record in the domestic division stands at  4-3-3  11/13 with Zenkovic (6 goals) and Pizzelli (5 goals) their main goal threats.

To sum up, I believe home advantage will count here in tonight’s first leg and I fully expect Dinamo Tbilisi to come out all guns blazing and will be fresh while Aktobe have suffered a couple of bad losses away from home recently.

Pick: Dinamo Tbilisi straight win @ 2.00 Bet Victor looks good value
