Mid-table Dover Athletic earned a good point away at Bromley on the weekend in a 1-1 draw, and they now return to their Perrys Crabble Stadium this afternoon when they take on Boreham Wood with the hosts looking to extend their unbeaten run at home.
Despite an ordinary-looking early away form, Dover Athletic are now unbeaten in their last five matches overall which includes home wins over Kidderminster 3-2 and Altrincham 2-1 along with a 0-0 draw against Chester,

Visitors Boreham Wood started the new National League season with a resounding 3-1 home win over Halifax Town, but they then suffered three defeats on the trot to Eastleigh, Gateshead and league leaders Forest Green Rovers.
The first two defeats were inflicted away from home but they bounced back with a slightly unexpected win at Tranmere Rovers following those defeats. On the weekend they held high-flying Woking to a 1-1 draw but they face another tough trip to Dover this afternoon.
Boreham Wood go into today’s clash with an early away record of 1-0-2 3/3 and they’re currently just one league position and two points behind today’s opponents Dover Athletic.
To sum up, Dover have previous experience at this level and they’ve started well on home turf, so I’ll back them to take the points here in what could perhaps be a 2-1 win for the hosts.
