EASTLEIGH v ALTRINCHAM – Pick: 1 – 04 January 2015

Spitfires to continue impressive home form

National League Tips

Football – England – Conference Premier

Sunday 4th January 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Eastleigh have gone four matches unbeaten in the Conference Premier leading into today’s match with Altrincham and they still remain unbeaten at their Silverlake Stadium.

Recent wins over AFC Telford and Braintree Town along with points against Woking (home and away) have kept Eastleigh in the frame for a play-off place over the Christmas period, and with an unbeaten home record of  8-4-0  25/13 behind them, they look a good bet for the points here this afternoon.

The Spitfires have won four of their last five on home turf and in addition, they’ve been ruthless against the bottom half opposition that have visited Silverlake as they’ve won all seven matches against such opposition to date.

Manager Ricky Hill has numerous attacking options open to him, but keep an eye on Constable (10 goals), McAllister (7 goals) and Midson (6 goals) for anytime goalscorers.

Visitors Altrincham registered a resounding 4-1 defeat against Chester at their J. Davidson Stadium on New Years Day but they face a tough assignment at Eastleigh this afternoon despite just one loss in their last five league matches.

Their defeat came against Nuneaton Town at home, while their away form has produced mixed results in recent weeks with wins at Wrexham and Chester along with a draw against Forest Green Rovers. However, losses at AFC Telford and Woking suggest they could slip up this afternoon.

Eastleigh have been in great form at the Silverlake this season and with their vast firepower at their  disposal, I’ll back the hosts to record perhaps a 2-1 win.

Pick: Eastleigh straight win @ 1.67 Bet Victor
