Halifax and Chorley both in line to score in this clash

National League Tips

HALIFAX TOWN v CHORLEY

Football – England – National League North Betting Tips

Following a promising start to the National League North, Halifax Town have seemingly lost their way in recent weeks as they’ve now gone five league matches without a win and they now sit in 9th place as a result.

After being relegated from the National League at the end of last season, Halifax had made a good start to this new campaign as they seek a swift return to the non-league top flight, but they now find themselves eight points adrift of the play-off pack prior to tonight’s clash.

The Shaymen do hold a pretty reasonable home record though at The Shay with stats of  6-3-2  23/10 and they possess some key attacking personnel in the shape of Denton (12 goals), Simmons (6 goals) and Peniket (4 goals).

Visitors Chorley head into tonight’s clash at Halifax on the back of a decent run of results in recent weeks which has helped them into the play-off mix as they’ve suffered just one league defeat from their last nine matches overall.

That defeat came in a 3-1 loss at home to National League North leaders Fylde, but recent wins over Gloucester City, the aforementioned Fylde (in a 2-0 win away from home) and another away win at Brackley Town should give them confidence ahead of their trip to west Yorkshire.

Chorley have tasted defeat just once on their travels so far this season as they hold a decent away record of  6-5-1 15/7 and they’ve won their last three matches on the road on the trot with victories gained at Gainsborough Trinity, Fylde and Brackley Town.

I therefore think that both teams have a great chance of scoring here.
