Woking could avoid defeat at The Shay

HALIFAX TOWN v WOKING

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

Halifax ended a run of seven matches without a win in the National League in midweek when they registered a much-needed 3-1 win at Altrincham but the West Yorkshire side still remain in the relegation places in the division.

Halifax have really struggled during this campaign so far as they currently sit third from bottom in the National League with just two wins all season to date. With just one win at The Shay so far, Halifax are far from the side they were from their previous two campaigns in the non-league top flight when they made The Shay a fortress.

An overall home record of  1-4-3  12/18 is not the start they were expecting in the first few weeks of this new season, and they face a tough Woking outfit who will test them here this afternoon.

Visitors Woking suffered another setback in the week when they lost 2-1 at home to lowly Southport and this recent defeat became a fourth defeat on the trot in the non-league top flight for The Cards who seem to have lost their way at the moment.

Defeats to Cheltenham Town, Braintree Town, Dover Athletic and Southport have resulted in Woking slipping down the table to a mid-table position, but they will nevertheless fancy their chances of getting something at Halifax this afternoon.

It should be noted that three of Woking’s four recent defeats were to teams situated in the top eight of the division though, so I reckon they’re worth a shot here today to bounce back.

Halifax’s home form has really suffered this term and I reckon it’s worth a punt to go with Woking with the draw on your side as they could break their poor run of results here.
