Although they’ve managed to post just one MLS win from their last six matches overall, Houston Dynamo have still clung onto second spot in the Western Conference as they are just three poonts adrift of Conference leaders Sporting Kansas.
However, Houston will have been left wondering what might have been as they secured just the one home win from their last six, which was a heavy 5-1 win over Real Salt Lake, but if they’d been more consistent and picked up points along the way, they’d have been leading the Conference by some margin.

Dynamo have won their last four on the trot on home turf amidst their strong overall home record of 7-1-0 24/7.
Visitors FC Dallas sit in fourth position in the Western Conference which is largely thanks to their solid home form at their Toyota Stadium where they’ve lost just once so far this season. Dallas are comfortably placed for qualifying for a Final Series play-off spot, but being level on points with tonight’s hosts, Houston Dynamo, they’ll be looking to go a step better I daresay.
However, Dallas’ away results will need to improve as they’ve picked up just one win from their last six on their travels amongst an overall road record of 2-3-2 8/7. Dallas have done enough to earn their place in the play-off pack, but they come into this match having earned just one win from their last seven overall.
That win was a 6-2 dumping of Real Salt Lake at home earlier this month, but a different proposition awaits them on Friday night in Houston I fancy.
