Ipswich to sneak the points over Bolton

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Ipswich Town were held to a third stalemate in four matches on the weekend when they shared the points with Cardiff City in a 0-0 draw at Portman Road. Ipswich had previously been held to draws against Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest as Mick McCarthy’s side have gone seven games without a win in the Championship.

Last season’s leading goalscorer Darryl Murphy’s goals have since dried up and he’s yet to notch for the Tractor Boys this season in the Championship, so I guess it comes as no surprise that Ipswich have drawn five of their last seven matches overall.

At Portman Road, Ipswich have also experienced a run of stalemates having drawn their last four on the trot against Birmingham City, Bristol City, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City, although it shouldn’t be long before the likes of Murphy and McGoldrick start firing again.

Visitors Bolton Wanderers currently sit third from bottom in the Championship after having registered just one win in the league so far which was a 2-1 home win over Wolves back in mid-September.

Since then, Neil Lennon’s side have gone without a win from their last eight matches overall but they have recently taken a point off Leeds United and Preston North End in 1-1 and 0-0 draws respectively.

Away from home, Bolton’s record stands at  0-2-5  4/14 with only Charlton Athletic scoring fewer goals than them in the division, while The Trotters have actually achieved just one away win from their last 17 trips on the road!

The draw looks likely here but my favoured pick is to back the hosts Ipswich Town and give the quarter-ball as they may just nick this one perhaps 1-0.
