In the penultimate match of the Serie A season, both Lazio and AS Roma’s seasons could boil down to tonight’s showdown for the automatic Champions League spot this evening at Stadio Olympico.

I daresay their primary objective tonight will be to avoid defeat at all costs, with a view to securing the automatic Champions League spot in next weekend’s finale at home to Palermo.
Roma’s recent form has seen them register wins over Napoli, Sassuolo, Genoa and Udinese although three of these victories were recorded at home, while their away wins have been restricted to just three from their last ten trips.
Their overall away record stands at 8-6-4 21/16 and despite their recent win at Sassuolo, this was sandwiched by two defeats in Milan to Inter and AC Milan respectively, both by 2-1 margins.
