LEEDS UNITED v HULL CITY

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Leeds United were handed a second defeat on the trot last Saturday when they went down 1-0 away at QPR at Loftus Road which means the Elland Road outfit have now lost three of their last five matches.

In addition, Leeds have registered just two Championship wins from their last ten matches in the Championship overall which were victories over Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town, while Leeds’ overall home form has so far left a lot to be desired as they’ve recorded just one win under their belts so far this term.

Leeds’ overall home record reads a poor  1-3-5  5/11 as they’ve lost five of their last six at Elland Road and in fact they’ve won just twice at home in the Championship from their last 16 on home turf which is a woeful record and one which would have former legend Billy Bremner turning in his grave.

Visitors Hull City suffered their first defeat in twelve games in the Championship on Friday night when they lost 2-0 at home to fellow promotion hopefuls Derby County at the KC Stadium. But with a fairly solid-looking away record which currently stands at  4-3-2  11/6 heading into today’s clash in Yorkshire, I daresay Steve Bruce and his boys will be confident of grabbing at least a point.

The Tigers have recently registered wins on the road at Nottingham Forest, MK Dons and Brentford as they’ve started to build momentum on their travels following a run of six matches without defeat.

In addition, Hull have kept four clean sheets from their nine away matches so far and their solid defence could again be key to determining the outcome of this game.

I will therefore give the quarter-ball on the visitors as I expect them to just about sneak this one.
