Ludogorets sit proudly atop the A PFG league by a healthy 14-point margin ahead of second placed Levski Sofia who face rivals Slavia Sofia in this weekend’s round of fixtures, while today’s hosts Ludogorets will be looking to extend their unbeaten home run even further this afternoon.
Ludogorets still remain unbeaten on home turf with an impressive home record of 12-3-0 30/8 and they’ve won their last eight matches on the trot at their Ludogorets Arena, having also kept a total of five clean sheets to date as well. Leading goalscorer Keseru (15 goals) has been backed up well by fellow forwards Cafu and Marcelinho (8 goals apiece), and their could be further goals for the trio today.
Visitors Beroe currently sit in third place in the Bulgarian top flight and they’ll be keen to cement their position this evening and hold onto the Europa League places along with Levski Sofia. Beroe won last time out with a 1-0 win away at Botev Plovdiv but they’ve been involved in mixed results in recent weeks.
Defeats to Levski Sofia and Cherno More (both away from home) along with draws against OFK Pirin and Slavia Sofia have really held them back from having made sure of their Europa League spot a few weeks ago, and they still face opposition from Slavia Sofia and Lokomotiv Plovdiv for the last european spot.
Beroe’s away record stands at 6-4-5 15/15 and they’ve managed just two away wins from their last eight on their travels as the pressure has been increased.
