Lyon have recently registered back-to-back wins in the French top flight with wins over Bordeaux and Angers, and they’ll be looking for a third here this afternoon when they take on Caen at their Parc Olympique Lyonnais with a precious three points at stake.
Another win for Lyon this afternoon could see them jump as high as third spot depending on other results as they hold a healthy +7 goal difference, and with a reasonable home record of 6-3-3 20/10 under their belts, they certainly have the motivation to take the spoils today.

Visitors Caen head into today’s encounter at Lyon on the back of five defeats from their last seven matches in Ligue 1 including back-to-back defeats against Lille and Reims 1-0 and 2-0 respectively, despite their current position of just below mid-table.
In addition, Caen have had a rather hit-or-miss away record so far this season in the French top flight, but in recent times their results have been below par as they’ve registered just one win on their travels from their last five away matches.
This win was a 2-1 success at 16th placed Montpellier, but they face much tougher opposition in Lyon here today, and they could well struggle to keep up.
