Macclesfield Town will go in search of a third National League win on the trot this Saturday afternoon when they play host to Bromley at the Moss Rose Ground as the hosts look to continue their surge up the league table.
Back-to-back wins recorded against Altrincham and Woking may well provide a platform from which the Silkmen can elevate themselves up into the play-off pack, particularly when you consider Macclesfield’s home form which has been pretty steady.
A record of 6-2-2 16/8 along with three wins on the trot in recent times has them well placed to take the points here as well as a sturdy defence which has kept four clean sheets so far this season. Strikers Dennis (14 goals) and Whitehead (4 goals) are the danger men for the hosts up front.
Visitors Bromley have been very disappointing in recent weeks as they’ve stumbled to three defeats from their last four matches overall with losses to Eastleigh in the FA Cup, along with back-to-back defeats to Boreham Wood and Altrincham (with all three defeats being inflicted on home turf at the Courage Stadium).
Bromley have actually been in better shape on their travels recently as they’ve won three of their last five on the road with wins at Torquay United, Welling United and Lincoln City although the former two clubs are currently in the bottom half of the division.
Bromley’s away record stands at an even 4-2-4 18/21 but if they’re to make a serious challenge for a play-off spot, they’ll need to tighten up their defence as they’ve kept just one clean sheet so far on their travels this term.
