Woking look to get something at Moss Rose

National League Tips

MACCLESFIELD TOWN v WOKING

Saturday 5th September 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – National League Betting Tips

It’s been a mixed season for Macclesfield Town so far in this new National League term as they’ve won two, drawn once and lost four of their first seven league matches overall. Last Monday night  they secured an unexpected three points away at Grimsby Town in a 2-0 win which must have upset more than a few punters I daresay!

But it’s back down to business at their Moss Rose ground this afternoon when they take on high-flying Woking with the hosts looking to improve upon their indifferent start to the season on home turf.

Macclesfield’s home record stands at an even  1-1-1  3/3 as they’ve drawn 0-0 with Southport, beaten Welling United 2-1 but lost last time out 2-1 to Chester. It should be noted that their successes at home so far have been against teams situated in the bottom three of the division.

Visitors Woking currently sit in third place thanks to racking up five wins from their first seven matches including wins over Torquay United and Chester. Woking have put together a six-match unbeaten sequence heading into today’s encounter at Macclesfield which includes five wins and a draw.

Woking’s away record also stands at an even  1-1-1  2/2 on the back of a loss at newly-relegated Tranmere Rovers in their first away match of the season, but since then they’ve revived a little with a win at Torquay United and a point away at Boreham Wood.

Woking midfielder Goddard (4 goals) is The Cards’ leading goalscorer but you can’t rule out the likes of forwards Sole and Rendell to notch for the visitors.

Macclesfield have been very inconsistent in the first few weeks of the new campaign, so I reckon Woking can grab at least a point here with a view to taking this perhaps 2-1.
