Manchester City continued on their merry way during the week when they registered a seventh straight win in a convincing 4-0 home win over German club Borussia Moechengladbach in the Champions League.
They now return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they play host to bottom half club Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium having won all four of their domestic matches on the trot with wins over Sunderland, Stoke City, West Ham and a local derby win over neighbours United.
New manager Pep Guardiola has his new side firing on all cylinders from the off this season, and their depth and quality in the squad should prove too much for travelling Bournemouth this afternoon with the likes of Aguero and Nolito up front.
Visitors Bournemouth sit in the bottom half of the Premier League after just four matches where they’ve managed a win over West Brom, a draw with Crystal Palace (away) but lost their first two matches of the season to Manchester United and West Ham.
Despite picking up maximum points with last weekend’s win over west Brom, The Cherries face a very tough assignment up in Manchester this afternoon where they’ll attempt to keep a rampant Manchester City side quiet for 90 minutes.
Their visit to the Etihad Stadium doesn’t bode well for Bournemouth as they’ve lost four of their last six matches away from home in the Premier League and their record away at top half opposition last season finished up on a poor 2-1-7 8/21 which included a 5-1 defeat in their last visit to the Etihad.
