MANCHESTER CITY v LEICESTER CITY

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

Manchester City maintained their challenge for another Premier League title on Tuesday night when they secured all three points in a stubborn 1-0 win away at Sunderland but they still remain three points adrift of surprise league leaders Leicester City.

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last seven in the English top flight and this run of form includes wins over Sunderland (4-1 at home), Watford, Crystal Palace and Sunderland again. City’s home form has been in pretty good shape all season as their record of  9-1-2  33/12 shows, along with having won four of their last five at the Etihad Stadium.

Wins over Southampton, Swansea City, Sunderland and Crystal Palace were expected, but they’ll be tested tonight by Leicester City who now feel they will be in with a real chance of winning a seemingly very unlikely title.

Onto Leicester City then, and The Foxes continue to amaze under the guidance of manager Claudio Ranieri but spare a thought for former boss Nigel Pearson who had managed to lift the unfashionable east midlands outfit to a point where Ranieri has taken over.

Leicester head into this early kickoff on Saturday having registered back-to-back wins over Stoke City and Liverpool (albeit both at their King Power Stadium), but The Foxes are unbeaten in their last six overall.

Leicester’s away record stands at a resilient  7-4-1  23/13 with their one defeat being away at Liverpool, but most interesting is that 8 of their 12 away matches have resulted in over 2.5 goals in total.

This match is likely to be vastly different than their first encounter which ended up a 0-0 draw back in December as Manchester City now need to press for all three points to overhaul today’s opponents up into top spot.
