Manchester City collected a fourth Premier League win on the trot on Sunday when they registered a 2-0 win away at Sunderland which saw City remain in fourth spot in the English top flight. The Citizens are now just one point behind second placed Tottenham with Wednesday night’s game against Stoke City being their game in hand.

Stoke’s continual survival and indeed remaining in the top half of the English top flight season after season is largely thanks to a very solid record at their Britannia Stadium where they are a hard nut to crack, but their results away from home this term have prevented them from taking the next step towards european contention.
An away record of 3-3-7 14/25 is the worst of all the teams situated in the top half of the league, as The Potters have lost five of their last six on the road with their only redeeming win being a 3-1 win at Sunderland during this miserable sequence of results on their travels.
