Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Middlesbrough secured a fourth consecutive win in the Championship last Saturday in the early kickoff when they beat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground 2-1 which has lifted them up into one of the early automatic promotion spots in the English second tier.

And with a solid home record of  3-0-1  8/2 behind them, I reckon Boro will be going all out for a further three points here this afternoon which could take them top of the table depending on how Brighton fare away at Bolton Wanderers.

Middlesbrough have registered back-to-back home wins over MK Dons and Brentford in 2-0 and 3-1 victories which add to the earlier 3-0 win that they recorded over Bolton Wanderers in their opening home match of the season.

Visitors Leeds United also head into today’s clash on the back of a win last weekend which they secured away at struggling MK Dons in a 2-1 win at the stadium:mk and this complements an earlier away win at out-of-sorts Derby County.

In fact, leeds united have lost just once in their last 12 matches overall, while away from home their record stands at a solid  2-2-0  6/4 having also gone unbeaten in their last five matches on their travels.

So, why am I opposing Leeds here today? Well, they’re still yet to prove themselves away at the top teams in the division, and with Middlesbrough’s solid form at home, I think Leeds will come unstuck here at the Riverside.

Despite Leeds striker Chris Wood’s 4 goals so far, I’ll back Middlesbrough to register the three points here in perhaps a 2-0 win to cover the -1 asian line.
