Middlesbrough to teach new boys lesson

Championship Tips

MIDDLESBROUGH v MK DONS

Saturday 12th September 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Middlesbrough registered an emphatic 3-1 away win at Hillsborough prior to the international break when they beat Sheffield Wednesday which lifted them up into 7th place in the Championship.

Now Boro will be looking for more of the same when they host MK Dons at the Riverside Stadium this afternoon as they look to build upon an early home record which stands at an indifferent  1-0-1  3/1 following a 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers and a 1-0 defeat to Bristol City.

Overall though, Middlesbrough have started as expected and they’ve received just the one defeat from their first five Championship matches of the season. Spanish striker Kike looks to be the danger man for the hosts while the likes of Fabbrini and Stuani will always cause problems.

Visitors MK Dons started life in the Championship with an equally emphatic 4-1 win away at Rotherham United on the first day of the new season, but since then they’ve registered mixed results as they secured a 1-0 home win over Bolton Wanderers, but suffered defeats to Preston North End and Birmingham City (both results were dealt out at their stadium:mk ground).

That said, MK Dons remain unbeaten on their travels albeit very early stages of the season, but they’re likely to face their biggest challenge yet on the road today against a strong Middlesbrough outfit who don’t often lose in front of their home crowd.

Incidentally, this is the first time these two teams have ever played each other in all forms of the game whether it be league or cup.

I have to take Middlesbrough here for the three points as they have a greater depth in squad and talent.
