Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Millwall head into their League One fixture with Walsall at the New Den having put together a promising six-match unbeaten run upon which they’ll be hoping to stake a claim for a play-off place come May this year.

Former Millwall player and now manager, Neil Harris, has moved his Lions side within touching distance of the play-off pack having registered recent wins over London rivals Charlton Athletic along with victories against Swindon Town and Gillingham – another three points this evening would move them within two points of sixth placed Rochdale.

Millwall’s home record stands at a pretty steady  7-3-3  22/12 and they’ve won their last three league matches on the trot on home turf, along with having suffered just one defeat from their last seven.

Walsall have also been in reasonable shape in recent weeks as they’ve lost just once in their last seven league matches overall, the defeat being a 2-0 loss at home to the aforementioned Rochdale, but they bounced back with home wins over Sheffield United and Bristol Rovers respectively.

The Saddlers’ form on the road has also been improved since the early stages of the season, and they now have a record of  3-7-4  12/17 which includes recent wins at Sheffield United and Port Vale.

Honours have been fairly even between these two sides in the past, but I do think Millwall might just have the edge here, particularly with their strike trio of Gregory, O’Brien and Morison in harness.
