Next up is an intriguing contest between hosts Norwich City and visitors West Brom in a match where both teams will fancy their chances of taking all three points in this bottom half clash.
Norwich City head into this afternoon’s tussle on the back of two defeats on the trot with losses to Leicester City and the heavy 6-2 defeat way at Newcastle United, a result that not many people would have predicted before the game.
In addition, Norwich have now gone four matches without a win but it should be noted that Norwich City have scored and conceded in eight of their nine Premier League matches overall so far this season – and their home record stands at 1-1-2 6/7, with all four home matches seeing goals from both teams.
Visitors West Brom registered a much-needed win last weekend when they nicked a 1-0 win over struggling Sunderland at The Hawthorns which prevented two defeats on the trot from turning into something more sinister.
Previous defeats to Everton and Crystal Palace had resulted in The Baggies dropping down near the relegation zone, but Tony Pulis’ men have now jumped to the relative safety spot of 13th place ahead of this afternoon’s trip to East Anglia.
West Brom’s away record reads a fairly reasonable 2-1-1 2/2 with wins chalked up at Stoke City and west midlands rivals Aston Villa and they’ve performed well when they’ve been on the road at bottom half teams this season to date.
With this in mind, and with both teams looking to attack for the points, I’ll back that both teams hit the back of the net in what could be a 1-1 draw.
