Nottingham Forest extended their unbeaten run to eleven matches in the Championship on Saturday afternoon when they registered one of the upsets of the season with a 1-0 win away against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

A previous 3-0 home win over bottom club Bolton Wanderers means that Forest are chasing a third win on the trot in tonight’s clash at their City Ground but all too often we’ve seen too many false dawns for Nottingham Forest who hold a home record of  6-5-3  20/12 but they have now gone nine matches without defeat on home turf.

This upturn in form should see the home side register at least one goal against a lacklustre QPR side, particularly when you consider that Forest have failed to score just twice at home all season. Strikers Ward and Nelson Oliveira are the main dangers up front for Forest.

Visitors QPR have recently shown signs of their own renaissance lately with just one defeat from their last five matches overall, and they head into tonight’s encounter on the back of three matches without defeat following draws with Blackburn Rovers and Wolves along with a 3-0 win away at Rotherham United.

Former Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink has since taken over the reigns and his side are still with an outside chance of claiming an unlikely play-off spot if they can get on a roll in this second half of the season.

QPR’s away record stands at a below-par  4-3-7  13/18 although they’ve suffered just one defeat from their last five away trips which is a vast improvement upon five straight away defeats prior to this sequence.
