Oxford have the edge over Rochdale

League One/Two Tips

OXFORD UNITED v ROCHDALE

Saturday 3rd September 2016 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Oxford United will no doubt be looking forward to returning to their Kassam Stadium following three defeats from their last four matches, which, incidentally, were all inflicted upon them away from home.

Defeats at Bristol Rovers, Fleetwood Town and Sheffield United have left The U’s in 18th place and situated in the bottom half of League One, but their form on home turf has been in reasonable shape as they’re unbeaten in their last four matches at the Kassam Stadium at this level.

This season, Oxford United have drawn 1-1 with Chesterfield which was followed by a 2-1 win over Peterborough United, and with both of these opponents currently sitting in the top half of the division, Oxford will fancy their chances of getting something out of this encounter.

Visitors Rochdale find themselves in an even greater mess than their hosts Oxford United as they sit second from bottom in League One without a win so far in this new season. Three defeats from their first five league matches of the season is not the sort of start that Dale were looking for, and they could be facing a difficult afternoon at the Kassam here as a result.

Rochdale have gained just one point from their two away matches so far which was a 1-1 draw at fellow strugglers Sheffield United, but with just two away wins from their last six on the road, Rochdale are not the most consistent outfit on their travels.

But it’s still early days, so I’ll back the home side with the draw no bet option here, but they should at least avoid defeat on home turf.
