Oxford and Mansfield to score in top-five clash

League One/Two Tips

OXFORD UNITED v MANSFIELD TOWN

Tuesday 9th February 2016 – Kickoff: 1945hrs

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Oxford United’s game against Exeter City on Saturday was postponed so they’ve had extra time in which to prepare for the visit of in-form Mansfield Town at their Kassam Stadium in Tuesday night’s important clash in League Two.

Oxford still remain in third place but they’ll be keen to extend their existing four-point buffer over Bristol Rovers and build upon their impressive 1-0 win away at Portsmouth in their previous outing. With just one defeat from their last five overall, Oxford have also registered wins over Exeter City, Notts County and the aforementioned Portsmouth.

The U’s’ home record stands at  6-5-2  18/10 but they did slip up in a 2-1 defeat at home to Bristol Rovers last time out, while Oxford have failed to score just once on home turf all season in the league.

Visitors Mansfield Town are the current sensation in League Two as they’ve won four of their last six which has catapulted them up into the play-off pack following just two wins prior in their preceding ten league matches!

Mansfield now sit in fifth place and they won’t be over-awed when they make their way to third placed Oxford United on Tuesday night having racked up a total of 8 away wins so far this term; only Plymouth Argyle (9 wins) have done better on their travels so far this season.

The Stags’ away record reads a pretty solid  8-2-4  19/13 as they’ve recorded recent away wins at Barnet, Morecambe and Crawley Town, and they must be in pretty confident mood ahead of this trip to Oxford.
