Oxford to cover the line against struggling Stevenage

League One/Two Tips

OXFORD UNITED v STEVENAGE

Friday 25th March 2016 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Oxford United head into the Good Friday round of fixtures lying second place in League Two as they go in search of a hat-trick of wins in the English fourth tier when they entertain struggling Stevenage at the Kassam Stadium.

Oxford have recently posted back-to-back wins over Dagenham & Redbridge and Barnet 4-0 and 3-0 respectively, and with the visit of third from bottom club Stevenage this afternoon, The U’s will be eyeing off all three points to keep them on track for a return to League One.

Oxford United’s overall home record stands at  8-6-5  29/16 but as you can see they have produced mixed results all season on home turf; however, against bottom half opposition at home, Oxford hold a solid record of  6-3-0  20/4 with a very healthy +16 goal difference in these situations.

Visitors Stevenage have been struggling throughout the majority of this campaign and they currently occupy 22nd place in League Two, but they do have a useful 7-point buffer between themselves and York City.

But the rot has recently well and truly set in at Stevenage as they’ve lost their last five on the trot with defeats to Carlisle United, Exeter City, Portsmouth, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town, while their away record stands at a poor  3-5-10  23/32.

Stevenage have managed just one away win from their last seven (at fourth from bottom club Hartlepool) and they hold a 2-2-5  12/17 away at top half opposition so far this season.

I’ll back Oxford for the win and to also cover the -1 asian line too.
