Plymouth should avoid defeat to Blackpool tonight

League One/Two Tips

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v BLACKPOOL

Tuesday 7th March 2017 – Kickoff: 1930hrs

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

With just ten games of the League Two season remaining, Tuesday night’s hosts Plymouth Argyle hold a commanding eight-point lead over fourth placed Luton Town, and they’ll be looking to take a step closer to automatic promotion this evening against Blackpool.

However, a recent dip in form saw Argyle go four league matches without a win as they suffered defeats to Leyton Orient and Notts County (both at their Home Park ground), along with draws against Hartlepool United and the aforementioned Luton Town.

Last time out on home turf, Plymouth secured a vital three points in a 2-0 win over Carlisle United and no doubt The Pilgrims will be looking for more of the same here tonight. Forwards Jervis (9 goals) and Tanner (5 goals) represent Argyle’s best chances of scoring here.

Visitors Blackpool make the long trip down to the south-west of England on Tuesday night on the back of an encouraging four-match sequence without defeat following draws against Crewe Alexandra, Exeter City and Barnet along with a 3-1 home win over Morecambe on Saturday.

In addition, The Seasiders have lost just once in their last seven away matches which was a 2-0 loss at fifth placed Portsmouth who are still chasing an automatic promotion spot. Blackpool have suffered just three defeats at home all season, and although their away form has also improved in recent weeks, they’ll be facing a tough task of getting something at Home Park on Tuesday night.

Blackpool’s away record now stands at  5-6-6  22/19, but it’ll be interesting to see how they fare at promotion-chasing Plymouth.

I advise backing the home side with the round ball option here.
