Plymouth at Home Park too strong for Yeovil

League One/Two Tips

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v YEOVIL TOWN

Saturday 1st October 2016 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Plymouth Argyle will no doubt be looking to extend their lead at the top of League Two on Saturday afternoon when they play host to lowly Yeovil Town in a west country clash at Home Park, with the home side already holding a five-point lead.

Plymouth have hit the ground running so far this season in the English fourth tier despite suffering two defeats so far, The Pilgrims have racked up seven wins from their first 10 matches of the new campaign and their home record stands at  3-1-1  6/5.

The two defeats came early in the season against Luton Town and Carlisle United, but since then, Plymouth have put together an impressive eight-game sequence without defeat and have beaten the likes of Mansfield Town, Cheltenham Town and Cambridge United so far at Home Park.

Visitors Yeovil Town currently occupy a lowly 20th place in the League Two ladder despite recent wins against Leyton Orient and Cheltenham Town, but six defeats from their last eight league matches overall provides the reason why The Glovers find themselves near the relegation pack.

The story doesn’t get any better away from home either as Yeovil have won just once so far on their travels which was at bottom half outfit Leyton Orient (who haven’t been the same since former manager Russell Slade left the club), but losses at Mansfield Town, Doncaster Rovers and Cambridge United show their weakness on the road.

Yeovil’s overall away record stands at  1-1-3  3/7 and they’ve managed just one clean sheet on their travels so far in this campaign. Their last visit to Home Park ended in a 1-0 defeat on Boxing Day of last season.
