Plymouth to continue revival against York

League One/Two Tips

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v YORK CITY

Football – England – League Two Betting Tips

Plymouth Argyle know they must make the most of their League Two clash against relegation-threatened York City at Home Park on Easter Monday as they fight out the third automatic promotion spot with west country rivals Bristol Rovers.

Plymouth ended a poor run of four league matches without a win on Good Friday when they secured all three points in a solid 2-0 win away at Morecambe, and they’ll now be looking to continue their resurrection at home against struggling York City this afternoon.

Plymouth’s home record stands at  10-3-6  28/19 and although they’ve suffered recent defeats to Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town, they’ve also registered wins over Stevenage, Mansfield Town and Notts County along with holding Oxford United to a 2-2 draw. Forwards Jervis and Reid look the most dangerous threats up front for the hosts.

Visitors York City have now gone eight League Two matches without a win as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Crawley Town on Good Friday as The Minstermen find themselves seven points adrift of Stevenage and safety in the fight against relegation.

York’s away record is also atrocious as they’ve managed just one win on the road all season amidst a record of  1-5-13  14/37 along with having lost their last five matches on the trot on their travels.

Defeats at Northampton Town, Cambridge United, Oxford United, Dagenham and AFC Wimbledon have plunged them into the relegation mire, and I can’t see them getting anything against Plymouth here today, particularly when you look at their record away at top half teams (0-3-7  6/24).
