QPR to bounce back against Trotters

Championship Tips

QPR v BOLTON WANDERERS

Saturday 3rd October 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

QPR were dealt a heavy 4-0 defeat away at London rivals Fulham last weekend and today’s hosts are in danger of spiralling out of control even in these early stages of the season as they currently occupy a disappointing mid-table position in the Championship.

QPR were among the early-season favourites for promotion from the second tier but The R’s are far from being promotion candidates at the moment as they’ve gone four matches without a win including two recent defeats to Huddersfield Town and of course Fulham.

QPR’s  overall home record stands at an indifferent  1-2-1  9/8  after a win over Rotherham United and draws with Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers. Their one defeat so far was to Nottingham Forest. Striker Charlie Austin is the most likely anytime goalscorer for The R’s.

Visitors Bolton Wanderers were held to a 2-2 draw at home with Brighton last Saturday and Neil Lennon’s side have lost just once in their last six matches in the Championship which was a heavy 4-1 loss away at Huddersfield Town.

However, Bolton have managed just one win in the Championship from their last 14 matches which was a 2-1 home win over Wolves at the Macron Stadium but aside from that rare success, The Trotters have been involved in a number of draws (seven to be precise), along with six defeats.

Away from home, Bolton have been even less convincing as they’ve slumped to four defeats from their last five on the road with defeats at Bournemouth (last season), Middlesbrough, MK Dons and Huddersfield Town amidst an overall record of  0-1-3  1/8.

With home advantage behind them and Bolton’s poor away record, I’ll give the quarter-ball on QPR who might just take this perhaps 2-1.
