QPR picked up a useful point in their 0-0 draw away at Leeds United last weekend which made it three league games without defeat for Ian Holloway’s men, and they now return to Loftus Road for the visit of soon-to-be-relegated Rotherham United.

Ian Holloway’s second coming to QPR couldn’t have been timed better as he found his former club floundering near the bottom of the Championship and they have since made a slow but steady recovery as they now sit in 15th place and just one point behind mid-table Aston Villa.

QPR’s revival has been down to The R’s winning four of their last six Championship matches with wins over Birmingham City (4-1 at St Andrews, and surely should have signalled the end of Zola’s disastrous spell at The Blues), Wigan Athletic, Cardiff City and Barnsley, with Holloway instilling a new found confidence at the club.

Visitors Rotherham United must be wishing they could have landed an inspirational manager such as Holloway as they now seem resigned to the drop down to League One following a run of six straight defeats which has left them isolated in bottom spot and a massive 22 points adrift of fourth from bottom Blackburn Rovers.

Paul Warne has become Rotherham’s third manager of this season following the departure of Kenny Jackett who lasted just over a month in the hot-seat, but the damage was really done at the beginning of the season under the reign of Alan Stubbs who oversaw just one league win from the first 14 matches of the season.

The Millermen are still without an away win this season amidst a woeful record of 0-1-18 12/53, and they must be wishing for the end of the season already!
