Randers know they could move joint top of the Danish Superliga if they take all three points against bottom club Silkeborg when the two teams clash at the BioNutria Park Randers on Friday night.
Randers currently sit in fourth place but are just three points behind joint leaders Brondby and Copenhagen, and if they manage to continue their solid start to the season here tonight, they could also take their place at the summit for the time being.
Randers are on a four-match unbeaten run heading into Friday night’s clash having beaten AGF, Horsens and Viborg along with a 1-1 draw with Nordsjaelland last time out. Randers also have a great opportunity to improve upon their home record which currently stands at 1-0-1 1/1 with the visit of Silkeborg this evening.
Onto Silkeborg then, and they sit bottom of the Danish Superliga with just two points to their name, which are courtesy of two draws away from home at OB and Horsens who are both situated in the bottom half of the division.
The visitors have failed to win any of their six league matches so far this season, so a trip to fourth placed Randers probably isn’t at the top of their wish-list, particularly as they’ve lost four of their last five matches overall heading into tonight’s clash.
In addition, Randers have won three of the last four meetings between these two sides, so it appears that Silkeborg will have their work cut out this evening if they’re to take anything away from their visit to the BioNutria Park Randers.
